What to do with that old iPhone

Just about everyone has an old, unused, iPhone around some place in the house - what can you do with it? You can use is for everything but a traditional mobile phone by turning on airplane mode and then turning on wi-fi. You can use it for just about anything then, as long as you're still connected to wi-fi: making calls on Skype, FaceTime, sending e-mails and iMessage, WhatsApp, etc.

I keep an old phone in my car as a music player and some people use their old phones as security cameras around the house using the free app Camio.

If you decide to give your old phone away, make sure to wipe it of any personal information first, and you can always send it to be recycled to places like Gazelle who will perform the wipe for you.
