Forget Cable (for real, this time)
For three years I've wanted to stop paying $100 each month for 300 channels I never want to see. I don't mean I don't want to watch them, I mean I don't want to ever see or think about them. Anyway, it's always been tough to get sports and news without cable or satellite... until Wednesday.
Now a million people have already shared their attempts at cutting the cord so I'm not trying to redo that work but I wanted to share the four (yesterday it was three) things you'll want:
- HD antenna ($25 from Amazon)
- Netflix subscription ($8)
- Hulu subscription ($8)
- Player (Apple TV, Roku, or Chromecast)
- Sling
The new winner here is that last one, Sling. For $20 you can stream CNN, ESPN, HGTV and a few more. Sign up to request an invitation and a few days later you're in!
